LOM PRAHA - About us

We are the only company providing repair services for the Mi family helicopters in the NATO and EU countries certified by the Russian MVZ Mil and OAO Klimov companies, the Interstate Aviation Committee MAK and domestic aviation authorities. Unlike many competitors, we can offer comprehensive services associated with overhauls, i.e. a complex support of the aviation technology lifecycle. Our experienced technical staff, utilization of advanced technologies and emphasis on top quality constitute our greatest advantage.

We focus in particular on overhauls of Mi-2, Mi-8/17, Mi-24/35 helicopters and their dynamic components (turboshaft engines, gearboxes and auxiliary power units), and repairs of L-39 aircraft and their engines. Furthermore, our company also manufactures and repairs piston engines and propellers. VR Group, a.s., the company’s subsidiary, manufactures simulators and simulation technologies for aircraft, helicopters as well as ground forces.

	Roman Planička Mr. Roman Planička is a manager with extensive practical experience in the aviation industry, primarily from LET Kunovice where he worked with only a short break from the end of his studies in the year 1993 to 2001. He held various positions at LET Kunovice in the sales section and as a member of the supervisory board. As a manager, he was involved in foreign trade in the aviation division of PAMCO INT. a.s. From 2004 to 2008 he held the position of executive director and member of the board of Aircraft Industries, and in the years 2008 to 2009 he was vice president of the Technical Section of Czech Airlines. From 2010 to 2012, he served as CEO and member of the board of Aircraft Industries Defense, a.s.

	Pavel Beran Mr. Pavel Beran is a former director of financial management consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers. His primary task at LOM PRAHA s.p. will be financial and human resources, property and corporate restructuring management. Since 1.9.2012 also interim director of the branch company Air Force and Air Defense Technical Institute „VTÚLaPVO”

	Pavel Mares Mr. Mares graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; majored in Economics and Management. Between 1997 and 2004 he was employed as a Financial Director in companies PROKOP a.s. and VÚOS a.s. Since 2004 he worked as a Deputy Manager in CLV (Flight Training Centre). On 28^th April 2013 he was appointed CLV Director.

	Petr Prokop Mr. Prokop is a graduate of the Czech Technical University in Prague, Aviation Technology Department – aircraft engines. He studied at the Sheffield Hallam University School of Business and Finance in 2004. He was appointed the Director of Piston Engines Division on 1^st January 2006.
