LOM PRAHA s.p. :: Piston Engines

LOM PRAHA s.p. manufactures of 4- and 6-cylinder inverted inline aircraft piston engines in the 120-250HP category. These engines build on the tradition of Walter and Motorlet engines. The advantages of the LOM engines include in particular cost-effective operation and the possibility to use automobile fuel, high power to weight ratio, narrow frontal area and an oil system enabling acrobatic flight. The engines are used in particular in the domestic Trener aircraft family as well as in Ae-145, Z-43, Z-142, L-40 and L-200 aircraft. Their timeless design and exceptional quality make the LOM engines suitable for use not only in modern aircraft and kites, but also in historic replica aircraft. The engines have been successfully used in aircraft like Cessna 172, RV-3, Tiger Moth, CH 801, Esprit VF-II SC, Bücker Bü 131, Ryan ST-R, Spitfire replica and many others.

Apart from the comprehensive support of the LOM engines life cycle, we also provide overhauls and repairs of M 462RF engines primarily used in Z-37 Čmelák aircraft.
